Searching for the gingerbread girl and boy!

We went to pick the gingerbread girl and boy up about 2:00
yesterday. Much to our surprise, they ran away!!
There was a trail of crumbs that led us to the playground.

Everyone searched and search to find him but
we were out of clues!

Day 2

We took the gingerbread to the kitchen ladies. They were
kind enough to cook the gingerbread cookies for us.
We told them the temperature and the time that
it needed to bake properly.

DAY 1 of our Gingerbread Adventure!

Monday we made our gingerbread GIRL.
We all took turns pouring in the ingredients and
mixing the batter together. We put her on a pan
and decorated her.

Thanksgiving feast

Thank you everyone for the wonderful food!
The first grade has so many things to be thankful for!

Its time for a feast!!

We started our Thanksgiving feast just like the Pilgrims and
Indians did in our stories. We prayed and thanked God for everything
he has given to us. We have so much to be thankful for.

Thank you parents for everything you did to make our
feast possible. They had a great time!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

Thanksgiving Project!

We started an art project today.
It is always fun to do special things!

Reading!!

I am so proud of our first grade readers!
We are taking turns reading to the 3K and 4K classes.
This Friday was our first time to get the opportunity
to do this. I am encouraging the students to pick
a book (that goes along with the season) that
they can read to one of the classes.
This is a fun way to get the student's excited about reading!

Math Fun!

We practiced math problems on the board this week.
They LOVE doing this!!

Happy Birthday to you!!
Happy Birthday dear Peyton!
Happy Birthday to you!!

Shoe Tie Club!!

Today, we all took time to practice tying shoes.
It was so fun to see the many different ways that everyone
used to tie their shoe. I loved seeing the students help
each other. This was a very fun experience!

We had six members join the club today!
I hope the others will join tomorrow.
We will continue to practice until the entire first
grade can all tie their shoes!

Proud members of the Shoe Tie Club!!

Practicing hard and trying to teach our friends!

I am so proud of all of our class for trying so hard to learn.
Tying shoes is a hard skill to master!
